New York City – On the heels of its successful launch of the UK luxury shaving line Dreadnought, New York based men’s grooming products distributor CRW Group LLC announced that the new line has signed on as an official sponsor of veteran NASCAR driver Joe Scarbrough, of Virginia’s Aftershock Motorsports racing team.
Scarbrough will be carrying the Dreadnought Banner aboard the Aftershock Motorsports #37 Chevrolet for the remainder of the 2012 and into the 2013 racing season in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour. With over 30 years of racing experience, Scarbrough brings a lot to the table – more than 220 heat and feature wins and multiple championships in his career. His first year with Aftershock Motorsports he put the team second in points for the Championship at Langley Speedway, America’s oldest continuously operating short track, and clinched a Championship in his second year at Langley.
Scarbrough said enthusiastically: “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Dreadnought, and excited to represent such an amazing product line for the remainder of the NASCAR 2012 racing season, and into the future. In a time when the image and lifestyle of ‘the sophisticated man’ is becoming more and more prevalent, a man still needs quality products that allow him to shave like a real man, and the Dreadnought line satisfies that need better than any other! Hitting Details Magazine’s list of top 5 international men’s grooming products just proves my point. If you want to shave like a real man, you need Dreadnought. Just be careful, it’s not for women, so ladies… hands off!”
The Dreadnought sponsorship will kick off with a signature “Drive Hard. Shave Easy.” video showcasing Scarbrough’s talent as a NASCAR driver and the luxury shaving experience of the Dreadnought products.
CRW Group owner Chris Wilson said, “This a very exciting opportunity for all of us involved. Joe is a perfect fit for this manly brand of shaving products. As a NASCAR driver, Joe is undeniably an American Man. But when you look behind the scenes, you really begin to understand the depth of that statement.
On 9/11 Joe answered the call of duty and joined the U.S. Coast Guard, where he served over a decade and remains affiliated to this day. He is truly the Real American Man that we seek as a representative. We couldn’t be more pleased to sponsor his career and have him promote the Dreadnought brand.”
Back in the UK, Dreadnought-in-Chief David Hildrew was delighted to hear of the partnership with driver Joe Scarborough and Aftershock Motorsports, saying: “In my mind, there simply isn’t a more manly American sport than the full-on, red blooded, wheel to wheel action that is NASCAR! As a licensed racing driver myself I fully appreciate the skills and courage needed to pilot these machines in a race environment. I am honored to welcome Joe and Aftershock to the Dreadnought team and look forward to working closely with them in the years to come.”
Dreadnought came to the US through collaboration between its UK manufacturer, Dash Direct of Plymouth, and its exclusive US distributor, CRW Group. The Dreadnought shaving line launched in the US on June 12, 2012 with its debut lineup, which includes pre-shave oil, shaving cream, post-shave balm, a travel size shaving brush, a luxury double edge safety razor and silver technology anti-perspirant deodorant. The line has already hit the media spotlight, including winning About.com’s 2012 Reader’s Choice Award for best razor.
The award winning shaving line is manufactured with pride in Great Britain exclusively for the men of America. The Dreadnought range of male grooming products pairs British craftsmanship and tradition with cutting edge technology to meet the shaving needs of the modern American man, and embraces its tag line “The Ultimate Shaving Experience for Real American Men.”
